Place – Fisco Restobar
Location – Kandivali West , Mumbai
8th August 2017
We were invited by Fisco Restobar, a brand new eatery in Kandivali. We were not only impressed by its look and feel ( really good for the kind of places around ) but their hospitality and food was good too. The owners are young friends and hence they’ve managed a very youth oriented look. Shivam, one of the owners made sure that we were recommended great food and beverages and ensured we had a good time.
Quick Summary
Pure Veg with good Jain Options
Gig every Wednesday
Huge space hence this place comes across very grand
Live sports screening and gigs
What To Eat – Khao Suey Soup, Modak and Motichoor Ice Creams
What TO Drink – Berry Blast & Italian Kick
Ambiance : Two storied restaurant is suitable for families till 9-10ish and is filled with young couples and groups post that. DJ takes over with some good music. Beautifully lit and thoughtfully made.
Before our food arrived, we started with some mocktails. (Mocktails because their liquor license is yet to come )
We had Italian Kick, which was basil flavoured Pink Lemonade.
Berry Blast which had more of smoothie feel. Loved it
Berry Delight– A Cranberry lovers may enjoy it like my friend did. Not my thing !
From food, we started with Fisco Special Spicy Burmese Khao suey Coconut based kao suey soup. They got in on point with right thickness of the Khao Suey. Highly recommended.

For soups, they also have Broccoli Chowder Soup and Wanton Soup to name a few apart from the usual ones.
From their FIFO section, we had Paneer Masala Basket – We found this is to be a little dry as far as the Paneer Masala stuffing is concerned and the bread was bit chewy. Didn’t work for me.
Pav Bhaji Cone – Here though the pav bhaji stuffing tasted good, but there could have been more stuffing and less bread.
Both these dishes looked good in-fact Insta Worthy but according to me surely need improvement.
Fisco Special Corn and Waterchestnut in black pepper sauce. The sauce was very tasty and it had lots of spring onion.
All this while we were here from 9 PM on , we didn’t see the place having a single empty table at all. When asked Shivam mentioned that on weekends the waiting ranges from half an hour to 45 mins.
For mains , we called for Fisco Special Bamboo Biryani. Bamboo Biryani coz they serve in in Bambo except that its your regular veg Biryani. This was a subtle one which I like. Aromatic and not too spicy.
Green Thai Curry with Rice. We loved this as it was super light. Vegies were not overcooked hence retaining the crunch. We surely recommend this.
They also have some more interesting dishes such as Papad Bhel Tempura
Dessert – Now this is definitely the winner for us ! I am not such a dessert person but this is one of the rare places that totally…totally impressed us with it.
We had Modak Ice Cream and Boondi Laddu Ice Cream. Very unique and flavourful. You cannot miss this at all !
