Restaurant Review: Tanatan, Juhu

Location: Ramee, Juhu

When: 10 July 2025

Tanatan Juhu is a restaurant known for its North Indian food. Its your typical fine dine restaurant that has its ambiance and decor right. As we went there late afternoon it was relatively empty.

From their regular menu and chef’s special menu we picked a few items and paired it with some simple gin cocktails such as Gin in the bottle and Angrezi Martini. Both were about okay, nothing great about those two.

For appetisers we ordered purple yam ke kebabs and Palak Dahi ke Kebab (Which felt more like Seek Kebabs and weren’t as soft as usual dahi ke kebabs)

For mains we ordered Dilli Ki Galiyon se which was a platter with Paneer Makhni, Dal Bukhara and Laccha Paratha. Paneer and Dal both were super creamy but lacked some flavour according to us.

As their menu has many more regional dishes, we thought of getting Rajni Goes Veg - A Kerala Curry served with Coconut curry leaves rice. It was quite delicious and would have been perfect if only it was paired with Papadam or Appalam indeed of roasted papad.

We finished our meal here with Pista Jamun Pie which was just about average.

Tanatan Juhu impressed us with its ambiance, the place is huge and has a beautiful decor. They have live music even in the afternoons so that’s a plus point!

Verdict:

Its your typical north Indian fine dine restaurant but it needs to improve on its food as there are many great restaurants nearby.

Ambiance: 5/5

Food: 4/5

Service: 4/5

Value for Money- NA (This was a hosted experience)
