Restaurant Review : Nayab Dhaba, Bhiwandi

Location : Vadpe Village, Bhiwandi near Nashik Expressway


We visited Nayab Dhaba last Sunday after we received an invite from them. It’s a new #Dhaba which is functional since last 1.5 months. Seating for over 150 people, they have ample space. Located in #Bhiwandi next to Nashik Express Highway, it is ideal for the pitstop for dinner on the way to the city from #Nasik bound travel. It is open from 6PM till 2 in the night. Perfect of big families and group of friends because they have very comfortable seating for large groups.

We chose one of the Machan kind of set ups to dine. We were greeted with a smile by the owner Mr. Waseem Siddique. He guided us towards the seating area.

Mr. Gaurav who manages the brand co-ordinations explained to us a few things about the dhaba and made our dining experience pleasant.

As the name suggests, it specializes in Non vegetarian food. They have a huge variety of different style of preparations for chicken, mutton, sea food and eggs.

However, we being #vegetarians, ordered for Vegetarian food. We were assured that the vegetarian food too will be of a great quality. And it so was !

 

First thing first, while we were seated at the table ( low seating ), there was sliced salad ( cucumbers and onions) kept in front of us along with the Salan. That caught our attention, and merely out of curiosity, I tasted it without any accompaniment. It was so delicious that it had to be paired with everything that was served on that table that point on 😉

Menu covers a wide variety of Indian and Chinese preparations. Most of these are within 200 - 300 Rs. Range. ( Please check the menu )


We started with a portion of Hara Bhara Kabab and Aloo Chili for appetizers. Their portions are huge and it can be shared among 3-4 people unlike city restaurants.

Aloo Chili was perfect however it was garnished with coriander which was not required but that can be ignored since it’s a dhaba and not a fine dine.

However, Hara Bhara Kababs needed slight improvement. They were made flatter than usual and hence were not as soft as they should have been. Flavours were good. Only if they were softer, that would have been perfect.

For mains, we ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Anda Masala Curry, Dal Fry, Veg Biryani and Assorted Indian Breads – 1 Butter Garlic Naan, 1 Butter Roti and 1 Butter Kulcha.

Both the gravies were outstanding! Greasy, yes! But who cares about that when visiting a dhaba! These were rich in flavours and did not have the ‘tomato overload’ which is the case in most regular restaurants in the city. All the rotis were good and did not turn chewy.


Biryani though packed with flavours, had way too much Paneer in it. When we gave them the feedback they were more than happy to make changes.

Dal fry was feasted upon by my mother in law as she absolutely loved it.

For dessert, we ordered Gadbad Ice Cream and it was just the thing we needed!

We obviously couldn’t finish all of this food and hence we packed the leftovers and had it the next day. Food tasted even better the next day 😉

 

We met with the team working for the Dhaba managing its promotion etc. Mr. Pramod Yadav, Mrs. Supriya and the team are really eager to host all kinds of guests i.e. travelers as well as city dwellers.

This is hardly 40 mins away from #Thane City and around similar proximity from #Kalyan as well as #Dombivali.


They do not serve alcohol however, they do serve Sheesha / Hookah


There is a separate area for Families. Nayab Dhaba has also created a play area for kids which takes care of the little ones.


So next time you crave for some authentic Mughlai Dhaba food, instead of Tony da Dhaba or the similar popular ones, give Nayab Dhaba a try, and you will definitely come back happy 😊

Huge portions, authentic Mughlai Taste, Value for money, this has to be your next Dhaba visit !
