Family Tree, Thane : Restaurant Review
Location : Panch Pakhadi, Thane
We went to Family Tree Thane Panch Pakhadi outlet for a birthday celebration in Nov. As the unlock has taken places a lot of people were out to dine. We had been there at lunch time.
The place has indoor and outdoor seating. Its quite a big space. Ambiance is really chic. It reminds you of Grandmama’s café.
Here’s what we had –
Tomato Basil Soup ( Rs.179) – Flavour was on point. It was a bit watery though. Mini croutons were a clever idea.
Jalepeno Poppers ( Rs. 299) – Very good
Kung Pao Potatoes ( Rs. 289) – This was really very good. Taste was perfect.
For mains we ordered Pot Rice ( Rs.409) – This was a disappointment. The Pot rice had too much pepper which was giving it excessive heat. It could do with some more vegetables. Overall didn’t work well.
For Drinks we had below
They don’t serve liquor so we settled for mocktails
Anarkali Disco Chali – This was extremely sweet. We asked them to reduce the sweetness and they did so. However, the second serving too was way sweeter.
Mojito and Fruit Punch were decent if not great.
It’s a good place for a meal however slightly overpriced for the portion size. Service was slow. Drinks need improvement. I wish it served alcohol.
Taste – 3.5/5
