Thali Review: Thakar Thaal, Malad

This old school thali place serves pure vegetarian Gujarati, Rajasthani and jain food.

We visited on a Monday and the menu for that day had Sev Tamatar, Baingan Bharta, Lasaniya Batata and Paneer Pasanda for sabji. And of course a thali place is incomplete without Dal Bati Churma.

Since the mango season was not over, we ate delicious Aamras too! As we waited for the rest of the dishes to be served. The hot fulka, puri, bhakri kept coming in loaded with ghee. The thali overall didn’t feel very heavy and we were able to to finish all the food that was served.

Is it a premium thali place? No

Is it worth a visit yes? Because, as I mentioned it gives you the old school feel at that price point.
