Hotel Review: Radisson Blu Udaipur

We stayed at this property recently during our work visit. A beautiful 5 Star resort, overlooking Fateh Sagar Lake, is a treat to the eyes. What was Sheraton Udaipur is now taken over by Radisson Group. A property with over 240 rooms is definitely a massive inventory. Although not a heritage

e property, it feels like one because of its design, and architecture.

When you step into the property, you are welcomed traditionally by their staff. The way to the lobby is through their terrace/alfresco area that overlooks the lake. The view refreshes you immediately.

We were staying in the Superior room – the base category room. A room big enough to accommodate 3 guests. A cozy bed, a work area, and a couch provide comfort. The Bathroom in our room had a bathtub as well. The rooms are equipped with all the modern amenities such as Flat Screen TV, Wi-fi, tea-coffee maker, etc.

The hotel has in totality 5 F&B outlets

  • Wok by the Lake – An Asian restaurant

  • Aravali Rooftop restaurant

  • Neel Mahal Restaurant – The all-day dining, multi-cuisine restaurant

  • Aangan Terrace Bar – Adjacent to the lobby which opens into the terrace space

  • H2O- Poolside Bar

During our stay, we could enjoy the food at Neel Mahal Restaurant. The lunch, dinner, and breakfast buffets were elaborate with a good variety of dishes.

We also happened to order room service on one of the nights. We ordered Veg Biryani which was sufficient for 2. Served with Raita and Papad, it tasted just about average though. The best part is – it’s a 24 hrs Room Service though.


As we were on a tight schedule, we could not utilize the amenities such as Pool, Gym, or specialty restaurants.


Apart from this, the resort boasts one of the biggest ballrooms in. the city.

During our stay, there was also a wedding at the property. It looks like a good option for social functions as well.

A lovely Lakeview 5-Star Resort in Udaipur that checks all the boxes for a good resort.
