Masala Gobhi Dry ( Cauliflower )

This is a dry Gobhi i.e. Cauliflower recipe. Its quite easy and quick. You can make this recipe by replacing Cauliflower with Potatoes and Peas too.

Here is the recipe

  • Thinly slice 3-4 onions, 3-4 big tomatoes and cut cauliflower into small florets.

  • In a pan heat 2-3 tbs oil.

  • Now add cumin seeds 1tsp, 2 green chilies cut lengthwise and a pinch of asafoetida.

  • Now add the onions. Saute it, add ginger garlic paste as per your taste and let it cook till it becomes brown.

  • Now add tomatoes, salt as per taste ,2 tsp red chili powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp garam masala, 1 tsp amchoor powder. Mix it well.

  • Now let it cook for next 7-8 mins till it becomes soft and mushy.

  • Now add cauliflower florets and mix well so that its coated well with the spices.

  • Add 1-1.5 cup water. Mix well and cover with a lid. Let it cook for next 15 mins or so till the water is reduced.

  • Your Dry Masala Gobhi is ready to be served.
