Khaosan Arte Hotel Bangkok
This is not exactly at Khaosan but at Phra Atit Road. A simple, budget stay for your basic needs.
Pros : Dirt Cheap, Really Cool Café, Friendly assistance, great rooms for the value, Peaceful in spite of being so close to Khao San Road.
Cons : Room size.
We arrived in #Thailand early and were at the hotel by 12 noon. Much before their check in time. Hence we had to wait for the room to be ready. The front office lady was very kind and she even upgraded our room. Room was basic with necessary amenities and free wi-fi. Bottled water was also provided complementary.
The best part about this hotel was its café – café Picasso. It was always full with in-house as well as walk in guests. Good menu with enough options for vegetarian and vegan food. Staff was extremely lively and welcoming. We had our lunch on the day of arrival and next day’s breakfast here. Here are some pictures of #CafePicasso.
The travel desk available at the hotel was also extremely good. They were not only good with communication but also were helpful. The lady went out of her way and helped us in getting around the city. We booked our travel to Koh Samed through them too.

New Siam III
This was located at Rambutri Road just 2 minutes walk from Khao San.
Pros : Very Cheap, Friendly assistance, Big rooms for the price paid, Peaceful in spite of being so close to Khao San Road.
Cons : None.
Most of the points mentioned above are true for Khaosan Arte are true for New Siam as well.
