Some meals are special. Given that we eat at so many places whether hosted or not, sometimes, dining out becomes just a task. But then there are meals that are memorable.
Our lunch at Seefah Hill Road, Bandra was one such meal that I can not stop talking about.
We were awestruck, mind blown and everything possible under the sun. The food was that good!!
Note- This was not a hosted meal. We went there to celebrate a friend's birthday.
Owned by Chef Seefah Ketchaiyo and Chef Karan Bane,a husband wife duo, this is a place that serves experiential Thai and Japanese food. Seefah comes with an extensive experience in hotel industry and breands such as Four Seasons. Her Thai heritage and love for her land reflects in the food at Seefah. Karan, a seasoned Japanese Chef sprinkles his magic with the Japanese delicacies.

This iconic place is nothing but modest. Whether it is the decor, the menu or the service. Nothing feels over the top. It doesn't try to grab attention with its decor or ambiance. Its focus is on food, as it should be. Guess there is a rason why its under top 100 restaurants in India.

While I'd mostly heard about the non-vegetarian cuisine here, I actually found a lot to enjoy as a vegetarian. Here's a look at everything I ate.
Tom Kha (The best thing you can order on a cold rainy day) INR 300 approx.
Glass noodles salad (The chili punch, the sour / tangy hit and the noodles itself were too good) INR 575 approx
Thai Veg Spring rolls (So so surprisingly good) INR 650 approx.
Steamed VegetarianWantons in Spicy Chili Oil (Super spicy, our taste buds were numb. But we couldn't stop eating it) INR 550 approx.
Crunchy Avocado Maki (Another great pick) INR 500 approx.
Pad Thai (Balanced sweeter notes unlike how you get it quite heavy on sweeter side at many places)
Honey Toast with Black Sesame and Ginger ice cream- INR 500 approx.
Food coma. And I'm not exaggerating here. One bite and you're in heaven! Truly.
Silken Tofu Sushi (not in the picture) The only dish we felt was okay. INR 600 approx.
The vegetarian food was as good as non vegetarian food, as vouched by a hard core non vegetarian Parsi dikri.

Verdict
I'm surprised I didn't visit this place for all these years. Kudos to chef Seefah This place is highly highly recommended. The quality of food is just outstanding!
Am I visiting again? Hell yes!
Ambiance: 5/5
